Lived Expertise, Professional Insight, Transformative Impact
An ambitious leader, Meghann uses her lived expertise, education, and professional experience to reform and develop support services for both youth and adults. Her personal journey through trauma and mental illness, along with her commitment to healing, ignited a passion for helping others on their own healing and recovery paths. Meghann has dedicated herself to healing from neglect, sexual violence, interpersonal violence (IPV), mental illness, and addiction—experiences that have given her deep insight into the importance of trauma-informed supportive services.
She has worked across various systems and communities, supporting individuals with complex emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. Meghann is the Co-Founder of Now She Speaks, a peer-led nonprofit advocating for survivors of domestic and interpersonal violence, and human trafficking. Through her work, she strives to inspire youth and survivors of violence to believe—with certainty—that they can live happy, meaningful, and successful lives regardless of what they’ve been through.
